Hardwood and laminate flooring are beautiful! They are long lasting and versatile, and they are easy to care for! Win, Win, Win! Yet, the question often arises, “What is the best product to use when cleaning them?” There are numerous homemade recipes (FYI: I am a fan of making my own recipes) and also a selection of products to purchase. I’m not going to bash one over another; rather, simply say that some will dull your floor’s finish. Others will clean the floor, but allow footprints to show when you walk on the floor after cleaning. Rather, I want to share with you our product tip for cleaning your floors.
What do you recommend?
We use and recommend Squeaky Floor Cleaner. It is great for hardwood floors as well as laminate floors. We even use it on tile and grout. The cleaner is slightly alkaline so it will not dull the surface. It is great at cleaning the floors surface and you will not leave footprints on your floor after cleaning it! If you have never heard of Squeaky before, that is not surprising. Squeaky is not readily available in stores and is a product that we purchase commercially. We keep it in stock because we use it in our professional cleaning and recommend it to our customers for their regular cleaning routines.
Is it easy to use?
Squeaky is easy to use. Simply lightly spray the product on your floor, spread with a microfiber mop and allow to dry (which happens very quickly). That’s it! Presto-chango, you are finished!
It can be purchased in a gallon size, which is diluted with water to make A LOT of usable product. We also have available a Squeaky Floor Care system that includes a 32-ounce ready-to-use Squeaky trigger spray bottle and a microfiber mop.
We hope that you enjoy your wood and laminate floors for many years to come.
